European Abstractionism, a term coined by the artist to express the folding of two transformative movements of our time: the humanism of the Renaissance and the abstraction of modernism.

From the Renaissance, it takes the concept of imprimatura—the "first paint" that forms the foundational ground of painting—symbolising the grounding of humanism: reasoning, unity, empathy, illuminosity.

From modernism, it ultilises abstraction as the "freedom of not-being," reflecting openness, fluidity and indeterminism.

By folding these two foundational elements together, European Abstractionism represents the advance of real humanism and real freedom of being: essential components for envisioning the future of a better world.
